Playgrounds and Playdates

January has been exceptionally warm, and we've taken total advantage of it. One Sunday Jackson and I went to Corey Elementary to let him get some strider time. After about a good half hour on his bike, J wanted to hit the playground....so we found a way in. Here are the highlights...

I. LOVE. THIS. FACE!!!

Just hangin' out...
Sweet Boy...

Last Thursday we hosted a meet up playdate at the house.  It was such a beautiful day,  the kids (and moms) had a great time.  For some reason the sandbox was the gathering place...here are shots of those precious kiddos!

Dr. Milliorn

Our 2013 has started off with flu's, fevers, and coughs. Knock on wood, we got it out of our systems, and its nothing but blue sky ahead. Jackson and I have taken a few trips to see the doctor, and it always unpleasant. Lately Jackson has taken the role of the house physician, and I'm hoping all this 'role playing' makes our next trip easier.

Here is Jackson's patient "Bear" the wolf.  I was told he had a fever, and a sore throat...
Jackson tucked him in bed, and made Bear feel cozy.

J made sure he was extra warm...

Taking his temperature....

Listening to his heart, and breathing.

I'm pleased to report Bear has made a speedy recovery, and is back to his normal furry self.

Oh the Places Pipper Found...

Here is our Elf  Pipper....Enjoy!

His first night he brought Jackson an Advent bucket of goodies...

He let Jackson know we were boarding the North  Pole Express that afternoon...

A Tea party with Snoopy to help prevent flu germs...

Obviously the North Pole Highways are way different than the ones in TX.

Christmas Day

Christmas Morning Jackson woke up to find what Santa left him....a yellow truck!!!  Just what he had asked Santa to bring him.  I wish I had his reaction on video, but his first words were "OH WOW, OH WOW!!"

Here are a few shots of Jackson's Christmas....

We got to my sister's house just in time to see Christmas Day SNOW!!!  Mason and Maren were so excited, and couldn't wait to get outside...Jackson wanted nothing to do with it.  I hope next time he sees snow, its a different story.

I love this boy...

Hope everyone had Merry Christmas...

Christmas Eve...

Our Christmas Eve was packed with so much fun.. We've started a new Christmas Eve tradition...visiting the Ft. Worth Zoo. We had the zoo basically all to ourselves, and yes it was cold, but we enjoyed every minute. Here are a few shots I snapped a few shots before my camera died. (ugh...)
Shh...the Gorilla is sleeping.

The White Tiger is our favorite animal at the zoo...

The 3 generations...

Checking for otters...

After the zoo, a much needed nap, and an afternoon of playing with Grandma, we finally (after an early dinner) decorated cookies for Santa.

Icing and Sprinkles...
I Love to the two hands...

Progress....I didn't realize until after Christmas we didn't use the cookie plate we made for Santa.  Oh well...next year!

After cookie decorating, we went outside to sprinkle our reindeer food....

We made one last trip to a few neighborhoods to see some lights, and then home to read "Twas the Night Before Christmas."  Jackson was so excited this Christmas... I can't wait until next year!
