Gnismer Farms

This past Friday Jackson and I joined a group of stroller moms at Gnismer Farms to pick our own pumpkins! What a treat this was to take a tractor ride through the fields looking for pumpkins. Jackson was so excited for this, and I loved seeing through his eyes. Here's some great pictures from our day...

My Little Boy is 15 Months!!!

Yes, {sigh} Jacskon is 15 months for 2 more days, and I am just now blogging about it. Why is blogging so hard these days? Pinterest? Jackson? Life?...All of the above! Instead of typing about certain milestones, I'd rather just make a nice 'laundry list.' So here goes...

Weighs in at 28lbs.

size 5.5 W shoe

Now has a hairstyle....sort of. He needs gel to tame the curls.

wears sizes anywhere between 12 mo. - 2T

Gives good kisses and hugs

Eats with a spoon/fork

takes 1 nap a day (1.5 - 2hours)

LOVES his trucks, cars, anything with wheels

LOVES farm animals....cows especially

can complete farm animal puzzles alone

loves to turn in circles...and laughs when he falls down

Favors his right hand more than the left while coloring, and picking up toys

Truly a happy, happy boy....so full of energy, and spunk!

Those are the highlights, and I know there's more! We just love our Jackson Thomas!!!

Labor Day '11

Since the weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL today, we thought a trip to the lake to feed the ducks would be fun!! Here is our afternoon wrap-up...

Oh well, off to explore!

This is genius....Since the lake level is down about 10ft, this group of people decided to canoe out to what should be under water, and play a game of baseball.

All this grass should be under water...how lucky are those ducks? The people come to them, AND they get fed!

After the lake it was off to the playground...

Jackson LOVES the slides (or "at's") as he calls them. Such a fun time!!

Family Outing to the FW Zoo!

We could not have picked a more perfect time to venture out to the zoo. Yes it was hot, but we chose the Sunday before school started (Aug. 21), AND tax free weekend which equals a zoo to ourselves!!! I love Jackson at this age! (I hear this phrase coming around a lot in the future) I love the way he soaks everything in, and how it comes out in the biggest expressions. I would love to know what his little mind thinks sometimes...

Here is Matthew with the white tiger...this tiger LOVED Matthew. He got up on his back legs and scratched at the glass while Matthew did the same thing back to him. I wish the shot I took turned out...

Saturday was Jackson's 1st Birthday....really, 1st Birthday? I know everyone says the first year goes by fast...and 'they' are right. We had such a fun time with the family...such great memories.

I want to give my sweet friend Kaylyn of Sweet Reality Cakes a big 'Thank You' for making Jackson's 'Yo Gabba Gabba' cake. LOVED it, and it was delicious!!! Thanks Girl...you rock!
